Jebao 1000 Gallon Pressurized Pond Bio Filter with 13W UVC Clarifier

This Jebao CF-10 pressure filter features an integrated 13-watt UVC, a backwash facility, a cleaning indicator, and a UVC viewing window. It is suitable for ponds with different capacities based on the type of aquatic life present. For a nature pond with plants, it can clean up to 1500 gallons. If you have a goldfish pond with some plants, it can handle up to 1000 gallons. For koi ponds or large fish tanks, it is effective for up to 500 gallons.

Mechanical Filtration is the first stage, where water is pumped into the filter to initiate the process. Two foam discs trap unwanted organic debris, promoting the growth of beneficial bacteria that break down pollutants. Biological Filtration follows, with water passing through bio-balls that support the growth of bacteria converting toxins into nitrates for a healthy pond environment. UV Clarification is the final stage, with water passing by the UV lamp to eliminate microscopic algae spores, ensuring crystal clear water.

This External Pond UV Bio-Filter is highly effective due to its design features. The water flow is slowed down for increased UV penetration, and the quartz glass tube covering the lamp allows maximum UV rays penetration. The UV lamp operates at an optimal temperature in an enclosed chamber, ensuring efficiency. Single-ended lamps last longer and have higher UV output, maximizing effectiveness. The dual filtration system ensures a clearer and healthier pond, suitable for ponds up to 1000 gallons.

It is recommended to use this filter with pond pumps capable of pumping between 850 to 1250 gallons of water per hour. The inlet/outlet sizes are 1/2", 3/4", 1" (1" hose is recommended). Additionally, it features a backwash feature for easy maintenance.
